Meet Leslie Jones
When I sat at my first typewriter back in 1984, my six-year-old self could only dream of becoming a published author. I knew I loved words, read books so fast I often finished them before we made it home from the bookstore, and penned stories about horses and ballerinas that (I’m sure) thrilled my closest friends…but I wasn’t certain the dream to be published would ever come true.
After a decades-long career in public relations, marketing, and non-profit management (all the while filling up journals with book titles and potential blog posts), I finally heeded the call God has for my life to write full-time. With His help, I’m endeavoring to let not even a little bit of the talent He’s given me go to waste.
As the great philosophers Train sang “it’s not just a daydream if you decide to make it your life.”
So, here I am, following my dream to become an author who encourages, teaches, and lifts the spirits of other women through my writing. Who points others to Jesus and the abundant life he beckons us toward.
You can find me most days at my desk with a cup of hot tea, zealously typing out messages and stories I believe God is calling me to share with the world. With my restaurateur husband Kelley and our rambunctious son Ryder, I make my home in the wild desert of Las Vegas. I’m a lover of words, am always up for chips and salsa, and find my solace in running, reading, and creating a home filled with love and laughter (I love a good prank).
Thank you, friends, for helping to make this dream come true for me. I’m so glad you’re here.
With faith, hope and love,
